Truly unleashes the iPad Pro’s potential

TL;DR: If you take handwritten notes, you need to buy this app right now. (For the sake of reference, I use an iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil with ZoomNotes.) I’ve spent a lot of time using the most popular handwriting apps on iOS, including the new Apple Notes, OneNote, Paper by 53, and Noteshelf. Each of these apps are excellent options, but none of them hold a candle to the masterful ZoomNotes. ZoomNotes is not pretty, and the UI looks rather intimidating at first. Fortunately, the app comes with a demonstration and an excellent user manual, so learning the ropes is easy. Where this app truly shines, however, is in its customizability. The settings allow you to: - Teach the app to recognize your unique writing angle - Hide the UI to maximize screen space - Customize your most-used pens and access them in one tap (even with the UI minimized) - Use your stylus point as an eraser with the "Crossout to delete" feature And much more. This app is an absolute must-have if you take handwritten notes on your iPad.

Zoom Notes

I was excited to get this app as I just got my new Apple IPad Pro and the Apple pen. The app says it has a how-to users guide included. There is none. Bah

Great for building presentations.

Would be awesome if the editing/presentation can be continued on Google Drive.

The Best note-taking app

After two years researching finnaly found it, the only app that have mindmap, video and subdocuments.

Woow just amazing , i love it after an update

After the update it looks very good Really i use it in my college and study all the time I can read, write, draw, with unlimited zoom I can collect all data, pictures and videos in one page I prefer to collect all data in one page that make The informations more easy to remember Just i have small thing That if the app become faster and support a pdf file i dont want to convert it to document.

Best app ever!!!

I m so stinking thrilled. Omg. Best app ever. I have the Apple Pencil. This is beyond real. I can add images on my book writing journey and my YaYa RV journey. Love it. Is there a way to lock your writings, so they cannot be erased or wrote over??? Love doodling and telling my story. Thank you for the best app ever. How can i save out document though?

CRASHES ALL THE TIME!!!!

Ok, honestly, when I first got this app, I got the free version. After using the free version for awhile, I paid for this app. Loved it! For two days, then it started to crash whenever I tried to do anything! Download, upload, even go to the next page, it crashed. I turned off my iCloud on my iPad, thinking that would make it better. Nope. Still crashes! All the time. Honestly wanting to contact apple to see if I could get a refund... 2 stars because when it worked, it was awesome. When it dont...its AWFUL!

Freedom!

ZoomNotes is great. Freedom to create, record, organize, and document all sorts of disparate ideas. Features like the tags, Dropbox, and syncing btw iPhone and iPad. Layers! Audio! Layers! Slideshows! Layers! Evernote! I likey! An oasis in a desert of inadequate note-taking apps. Just waiting for the desktop version to round-out all its delicious goodness.

ZoomNotes is Just the Best

No, I am not a fake reviewer. Indeed Ive been a bit cranky with their bugs in recent updates. But theyve been responsive in fixing them. I especially like the new page grab / export, using the double-tap. I keep my notes in another app, so that is a big frustration saver. Recommend this app ... it remains my favorite for a large number of features no one else supports (page in a page being the most useful). Try it!

Hands(writing)-down, best notepad replacement out there.

I honestly dont understand why this App rarely makes the comparisons reviews or best-ofs reviews. Ive tried, bought, or demod all of the top apps, and for simply replacing a college-ruled notepad for job or project notes, there isnt anything that even comes close. The infinite zoom, eliminating the need to write-in-a-box makes it completely seamless when jotting down project related notes. The Notebooks or Folders approach makes it easy to track projects, and the Dropbox works flawlessly for back-ups. Using any pdf as a template allows very quick service reports to be created and signed in the field. The ability to quickly send out as a pdf gives great interaction for sharing with customers or coworkers. I use this with the Wacum Fineline, and am eagerly awaiting the smaller Ipad Pro with Pencil to give that last degree of willingness to reach for this app instead of my notebook (I tend to scribble a bit too fast when brainstorming, stylus occassionally tends to distort my letters if I dont breath and make a point to write sedately). The only real wishlist item I would like is for this app to be incorporated into a Franklin or weekly-planner style format, then I could replace my journal as well as my notepads. Why isnt this app one of the first links when googling or using the apps store? Boggles the mind.

Dont waste your money

Being a math major and taking 100% of my notes on my iPad, Ive tried all the note taking apps on the App Store. Having done so, I can say that Zoomnotes has the potential to be the best notes app in the App Store by a long way. That being said, poor execution holds this app back and theres no sign of improvement in over 2 years. The developer keeps making UI tweaks and keeps adding features, but the app is so full of bugs that its just isnt worth using. For every bug the developer fixes, more new ones are introduced. After this app crashed on me a few times, taking a full hour of notes with it, I decided to delete this app off my iPad. That was over a year ago. Recently, I decided to give Zoomnotes one more chance and its still so full of bugs, its unusable. The app hangs and freezes and has generally poor performance on my iPad Air 2. This is a shame, as Zoomnotes has the most robust feature set and best handwriting capture (inking) of any note app Ive ever used. If only the developer could clean the app of all the bugs which plague it so badly, itd easily be a 5 star app. But, since the app is so utterly useless because of the bugs, I can only give it one star in good consciousness.

Most complete Note app Ive tried

Ive been using Zoom notes for over 3 years now and Ive tried just about every full featured note app in the store. Zoom-notes is by far the better app in this category. Unlike many of the note apps, you can have a different style page or paper for every page in your note books. For me, this was essential for taking notes in a lab environment where data comes in all shapes and styles. Making data gathering templates and saving them as "Paper" is a huge time saver and ensures your note always have a consistent look. Importing PDF, google docs and photos into one neat and organized note book is where the power of this app shines. Import multiple photos at one time, no more hitting import, select photo, paste and repeat. You can even import photos from the camera right on your current page within the app. Being able to edit pen styles, text styles and line and shape styles is a real time saver, especially since you can save these options in groups for later recall. Did you delete something by accident? No problem, files are deleted into a recycle bin first. While hand writing a note, if you make a mistake, just scribble it out and it goes away, no need to hit undo or select and delete, but you can if thats what youre comfortable with. Update: Since the Apple Pencil came out, writing notes is now a real blessing. You can place your entire wrist on the screen and there are no errant marks to be found. No real need to use the Zoom writing tool, just zoom the page up a bit and start writing.
